Our purpose is to remember and mark the extraordinary efforts of the individual members of the Dáil Delegation sent to London in October 1921.
This commemorative volume, carefully researched and handsomely illustrated, has been written and edited by descendants of the Irish delegation.
The book focuses on the people themselves and not the politics.

To mark the 100th anniversary of Anglo-Irish Treaty Negotiations in London in 1921, the descendants and relatives of those who participated have formed a steering group and been meeting over the past year.
The full extent of those Irish men and women involved in the 1921 Treaty negotiations is not widely known, other than people such as Arthur Griffith, Michael Collins, Erskine Childers and Robert Barton. From an original base of 43 names of delegates, secretaries, support staff and household staff, which were found on a Dáil Eireann list drawn up on the 12th October 1921, the steering group were able, through extensive research, to identify around 70 personnel as being part of the Delegation in London. They have also been able to trace many of their descendants, and families, with considerable success. Many people in our group, including three direct descendants, can tell the story of these historic negotiations on the Treaty in the context of family involvement and memory.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality.
Thank you for taking the time to read about us and our simple mission.
It is our intention to shine a light on the people of the delegation and your interest is very much appreciated.
Ronan Fawsitt talks about his grandfather’s involvement in negotiating the Anglo-Irish Treaty and the aftermath for their family.
